Today is Lucas Perez day. There are claims all over Spain about interest in buying the Deportivo La Coruna star, with Arsenal the most linked club on Thursday.
El Confidencial and Marca feel Perez moving to Arsenal is very close indeed, whereas AS think it’s not quite that far along, and local newspaper La Voz De Galicia say that West Brom haven’t given up yet and have sent officials to Spain with a big wages offer.
Deportivo themselves are getting ready for a match against Real Betis. It’s away at the other side of Spain so they have to get going, and Perez is in the travelling squad.
The Spanish club’s manager Gaizka Garitano has been asked about the transfer speculation surrounding Perez and his teammate Sidnei. La Voz De Galicia quote him as saying: “If they are here, much better for us, and if not, life will go on and Depor will continue as it has for so many years.”
