Bursa Hakimiyet Gazetesi report Newcastle United loanee Henri Saivet has finally started to impress at Bursaspor after a poor start, and the club’s manager Samet Aybaba is ready to trust him in the final eight games of the season.
Saivet is currently on a six month loan deal with the Turkish side from Newcastle United.
Bursaspor currently sit just one place above the relegation zone and Hakimiyet report Aybaba will use Saivet to secure the club’s Super Lig status next season.
It’s reported after returning from mid-season training Saivet is now more determined and his performances have improved.
The 28 year old scored a goal against Galatasaray in his last game and his overall contribution was good.
Hakimiyet claim Aybaba is ready to build his team around the Newcastle United player and the experienced manager is hoping Saivet can save the club from the drop. No pressure then.
Saivet has played 21 games for Bursaspor this season and scored two goals. The former Bordeaux man is under contract at St. James’ Park until June 2021.
