Fotospor report Besiktas are interested in signing Brentford attacker Ollie Watkins but the final decision will be made by the Turkish club’s manager Abdullah Avci.

The Istanbul side have surprisingly been linked with a move for Watkins this week after reports they’re in the market for a winger.

According to Fotospor, the Brentford player has been offered to Besiktas via agents and Avci will make a decision in the coming days. It’s previously been reported Avci is keen on Watkins and that he’s been watching the forward for the past three seasons.

It was also reported earlier this week that Besiktas were lining up an offer for the youngster but that the West London side wanted to insert a mandatory redemption clause if he went on loan to the Turkish side.

Besiktas also have other targets in mind with claims former Ankaragucu player and USA international Tyler Boyd is in the frame to join the club.

The 23 year old was a regular for Brentford last season and he scored ten goals in the Championship.

Watkins is under contract at Griffin Park until June 2021.
