On April 19th, Tottenham Hotspur confirmed they’d parted ways with José Mourinho and his coaching staff, and Ryan Mason was appointed as interim manager until the end of this season.
A day later, Maurizio Sarri was linked with the Spurs job and reports in Italy stated the north London club had already made contact with his agent, Fali Ramadani.
The former Napoli manager has been out of a job since he was relieved from his duties at Juventus in August 2020. The Italian media continue to insist the 62-year-old is one of the candidates to be Mourinho’s successor at the English club.
AS Roma are also interested in Sarri as they want him to replace Paulo Fonseca next season.

It’s claimed a new meeting is scheduled between Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto and Sarri’s camp after the Giallorossi’s midweek clash against Manchester United.
Spurs ‘interest’ is mentioned, but the report adds Sarri ‘pushes to coach Roma’ and has given priority to the take the job at the Italian capital club over that of Tottenham.
