Brighton & Hove Albion striker Florin Andone, who’s currently on loan at Galatasaray, suffered another knee injury during Gala’s defeat to Caykur Rizespor at the weekend.
Andone replaced Ahmet Calik at the start of the second half but was injured in the 70th minute after colliding with Rizespor goalkeeper Tarik Çetin. He couldn’t finish the game and was replaced by Younes Belhanda.
It’s reported the Brighton owned striker will now miss the rest of the season, and Gala manager Fatih Terim said he believes the player has ruptured his knee ligaments.
Andone had a similar injury in November and missed almost four months of action, before briefly returning in February.
Turkish website Fotospor report the 26 year old’s season is over, and there’s a strong possibility that he won’t play again in 2020.
It’s now likely that Gala will part ways with the player when his loan spell comes to an end, which means he’s set to return to Brighton, where he has a contract until June 2023.
