NAC Breda manager Stijn Vreven has told the Dutch media bringing in Manchester City players on loan is good for his club and the Premier League side.
Earlier this month we covered reports from the Netherlands that Manchester City defender Angelino would be joining NAC Breda on loan for the season. In total five Manchester City players have been loaned to the Dutch side for the next campaign.
Speaking to De Telegraaf, Vreven responded to negativity over their dealings with Manchester City: “I can’t understand why someone else is negative about our partnership with Manchester City. Many of these talents are enrichments for us and for the Premier League.”
Last year it was confirmed the two clubs had formed a partnership, which would see Manchester City youngsters loaned to NAC Breda. A similar number of players were loaned to the Dutch side last season, with the aim to get the youngsters first team football.
Manchester City are also sharing coaching and scouting knowledge with their Dutch partners, but, naturally, there’s a lot of doubt in the Netherlands abut the arrangement, just as there has been with Vitesse and Chelsea.
