Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri was linked with a return to Italy in January, but no deal took shape, with Juventus more often than not the touted destination.
And yet, even though it’s been just less than three weeks since the winter window closed, reports on the Serie A club’s summer interest in Brazil-born Italy international has surfaced.
This time, it’s Calciomercato who have an update and they talk about the left-back being included in Juventus’ list of targets for the summer.
The Turin club are looking for a backup for Alex Sandro and the Blues defender remains the ‘favourite’ target for Maurizio Sarri.
In addition to this, the 25-year-old is on top of Juve vice-chairman Pavel Nedvěd and chief football officer Fabio Paratici’s transfer wish list.
The website adds Frank Lampard’s side consider the player as ‘transferable’, but figures to complete the operation aren’t mentioned in the report.
Apart from Emerson, Luca Pellegrini (who is currently on loan at Cagliari from Juventus) and FC Porto’s Alex Telles are viewed as backup options for Sandro.
