Manchester United have recently made a €60m bid for Ajax star David Neres, the Brazilian press says.
According to website UOL, the offer has been rejected by the Dutch side, since they’re not looking to sell the 22-year-old this summer.
Ajax have reportedly told United the player is in Erik ten Hag’s plans for this season, and should soon sign a new deal with the club.
UOL claims Neres’ staff has travelled to Europe to talk about this new deal, which is in the advanced stages of negotiation already.
This is not the first time the Brazilian press says Manchester United have made a bid for Neres. Last week, journalist Jorge Nicola reported the Red Devils had offered €50m for the player.
Now it’s not clear if United have raised their bid or if the outlets received different information. Nicola previously claimed that Ajax wanted €70m for the player, so perhaps the Old Trafford side are slowly getting closer to that amount.
