The Paul Pogba circus is once again the subject of a big story from Tuttosport today.
The Italian newspaper takes recent quotes from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Mino Raiola to repeat what they’ve been saying for years: Juventus want to sign the 26-year-old back from Manchester United.
But there’s something a little more interesting in their article this time, which is the Red Devils’ plan to replace the Frenchman, who should be out with injury for a while.
Tuttosport says Manchester United are ready to strike in the January market, and the first name on their list is said to be Emre Can.
Juventus would be interested both in selling the German midfielder now or accepting a loan deal, leaving a decision about his future for later. Meanwhile, PSG are also interested in him and could enter the competition for the signing.
This all sounds very convenient for Juve, and remember it’s coming from a Turin newspaper.
Besides Can, Manchester United would be interested in Sean Longstaff from Newcastle United and Gedson Fernandes from Benfica. Ed Woodward is said to be working on all fronts so he doesn’t feel forced to overpay for any of them.
For us, this feels like Tuttosport trying to convince themselves Pogba is available. Again.
