Jadon Sancho to Manchester United turned into a saga way ahead of the last summer window. Some were convinced that the transfer would happen, and that Borussia Dortmund’s insistence of a deadline was just a negotiating tactic.
The Bundesliga club were said to be looking for €120m for their player, and Bild report that United were convinced they’d come down from such a figure. That, of course, didn’t happen, and it’s questionable whether the Premier League side ever even made a real effort.
Now, Bild report there’s going to be a ‘Corona discount’ for Sancho to leave in the next window, although it’s not as big a discount as many hoped for. According to the German newspaper, BVB are now prepared to sell the England international for €100m.
That’s partly due to finances being impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Bild believe Erling Haaland won’t be sold in the summer window, unless there’s a ridiculous offer, with Sancho instead allowed to make for the exit. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side may not have it all their own way, with it’s stated ‘Manchester United are warned’, given there’s also interest from Liverpool and Chelsea.
