Manchester United are among the clubs interested in signing Real Betis’ Nabil Fekir in the summer.

That’s according to Fichajes.net, who explain the Red Devils are looking to bring in an attacking midfielder to provide cover for Bruno Fernandes.

It’s further claimed Erik ten Hag has ‘always liked’ the 29-year-old and believes he is the ‘proper name’ needed for Manchester United to challenge for the title next season.

The France international has a contract until 2026. Despite this, Manuel Pellegrini’s side are aware they would not be able to hold him beyond this season due to the interest he has generated from several clubs.

Therefore, Los Verdiblancos are ‘open to selling’ the ex-Lyon star in the next window and are demanding a €30m fee to sanction his sale. The price quoted here isn’t a problem for Manchester United to match.

Fichajes.net only state the Red Devils want Fekir mainly as their manager is an admirer of the Frenchman. They don’t mention if Ten Hag’s side are ready to pay the fee requested by Betis.

Fekir has six goals and three assists from 19 matches this season.
