Barcelona, down their end, ‘will accept’ United’s proposal for De Jong, if they raise it from €65m plus €22m variables to €75m fixed fee and €12m as potential bonus payments.
It needs to be seen whether the Old Trafford club will make an improved offer or if they can convince Barca to accept their latest proposal.
