Earlier on Friday, we covered a story from the Italian media claiming that following the recent meeting Erik ten Hag held ahead of taking over at Manchester United, Paulo Dybala wasn’t top of the list.
The transfer of the Argentine, however, remained a ‘hypothesis’, most likely because he’s a free agent and is an easier option to get if needed.
That’s why news coming out of Italy that his agent, Jorge Antun, ‘is in London’ these days isn’t all that much of a surprise.
This comes from Sky Italia, relayed by FC Inter News, who explain the representative ‘will inevitably test the waters and listen to ideas and proposals’.
Not only that, but they even have a few numbers Manchester United could put forward, stating ‘it will be possible two think about wages that between the fixed part and the bonus can reach €8m’.
This isn’t taking into account any signing on fee the Argentine and his agent would pocket should they decide to sign with the Red Devils; something ‘that is often paid to the player who arrives as a free agent’.
Whether Manchester United do go for it remains to be seen, but Antun’s trip to London suggests it could be something they’re open to, as they are one of the ‘last two clubs to show up for the Argentine’ alongside Arsenal.
If Sky Italia’s claims weren’t enough for you, Calciomercato are also reporting that Dybala’s agent is in the English capital.
