Manchester United’s hunt for a new goalkeeper gets a new name mentioned today.
According to Dutch outlet 1908, the Red Devils are keen on signing Feyenoord’s Justin Bijlow.
It’s said Manchester United have ‘concrete interest’ in the 25-year-old, even though there are no big details on how the efforts for this signing have been going.
1908 explain the whole David De Gea situation and say the Red Devils now look for a replacement. It’s interesting how they mention that ‘in addition’ to Bijlow, the club also follow Inter Milan’s André Onana. So the English side would be working to get them both signed this summer.
Feyenoord are apparently not interested in seeing their player leave, and that’s why they’ve been pushing for him to sign him a new contract, so Manchester United shouldn’t expect an easy task to get him signed. His current deal with the Eredivisie side runs until 2025, and he’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €15m.
The report even adds some comments about the possibility of the Red Devils signing two goalkeepers this summer, saying: “If De Gea does not extend and if both transfers are finalised, the goalkeeper guild of head coach Erik ten Hag’s team will compete for the new first place under the bar at Old Trafford.”
