Paul Pogba has been linked to a move back to Juventus from the moment he left for Manchester United, and with only one year left in his contract with the Red Devils, the rumours were always going to be strong this summer
This time, besides the Old Lady, French side Paris Saint Germain are frequently named as a potential destination for the midfielder as well, making the competition a lot tougher.
As we get some updates on Pogba’s situation coming from the Italian media today, it turns out that the chances of his stay at Old Trafford are now seen as more likely.
The news comes from market specialist Rudy Galletti, who was interviewed by CMIT TV.
Even though he confirms that both clubs are interested in signing the Frenchman, a renewal with Manchester United is now seen as the ‘safest track’ for the player, especially because the Serie A side are unlikely to afford the big wages he could have at Old Trafford.
“From what I understand the renewal with United is the surest track,” Galletti told CMIT TV.
“It’s difficult to see him at Paris Saint-Germain even for his personal background, with his family supporting Marseille. It’s complicated to see him in Paris. The Juve suggestion, even if with low percentages, remains in the air.
“To date, he’s more likely to stay in Manchester with an increase in salary that between the bonus and the fixed part could even reach 25 million euros.”
