The South American media continue to be divided between those who believe Edinson Cavani will join Boca Juniors in the summer and those who think he’ll stay at Manchester United.
Newspaper Olé, who broke the news about the move, brings another front page with the striker today. This time they feature his father’s quotes from an interview with TyC on Tuesday where he said there’s a 60% chance of it happening.
The Uruguayan media, however, continues reporting the opposite. ESPN had already claimed it’s more likely the player will renew his deal with the Red Devils, and now it’s journalist Sebas Giovanelli who says the same.
On Twitter, he claims that despite the interest from Boca Juniors, Cavani should actually stay at Manchester United at least until the World Cup in 2022.
Según me informan, a pesar del interés real de Boca Juniors, @ECavaniOfficial se quedaría en @ManUtd, mínimo, hasta #Catar2022.

Even though Cavani’s contract expires at the end of the season, there’s an option in his deal to extend it for one more year.
The Uruguayan ESPN had already claimed Manchester United would like to keep him for longer and let him end his career at the club.
So even though the Argentine media are quite excited with the chance of having him at Boca Juniors, there’s someone playing down the rumours when speaking to Uruguayan outlets.
