Flamengo’s bid for Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira continues to be reported in Brazil.
Following an original report from TNT Sports, which did not have many details on the offer, it’s now time for Globo Esporte to talk about it.
The outlet says Flamengo’s bid is of ‘way below €20m’, which is the price for the buying clause which the clubs included in the original loan contract.
While the Rio de Janeiro side are waiting for an answer, Globo Esporte says Manchester United are expected to make a ‘counter proposal’, meaning the negotiation should have ‘more chapters’.
Pereira is on loan at Flamengo until next summer, but as the Brazilian season is about to start, the Rio de Janeiro side are sorting their squad situation for now to avoid losing players in the middle of the year.
The anticipated negotiation may also be a tactic from Fla to do it calmly while they try to get a discount in the buying option.
