There are three players who could be leaving Atlético Madrid at the end of the season, according to Spanish outlet AS today.
Thomas Partey, Thomas Lemar and Diego Costa are all followed by foreign sides, and the Colchoneros could use their sales to rebuild their squad for the next season.
The interest part of the story is that AS only names one potential bidder for these players, and that’s Manchester United, who are following Thomas Lemar.
It’s said the Red Devils ‘seem willing’ to put ‘some good money on the table’, and since Atlético Madrid would be happy to cash in on him, that’s seen as a good chance.
But AS doesn’t offer a valuation for the Frenchman. They just show some stats to show that Lemar hasn’t been incredibly good for Atlético this season, and that’s why his sale wouldn’t make a big damage for the Spanish side.
Actually, it sounds more like a market opportunity for them, and that’s what Manchester United should be aware of.
