From the many Portuguese newspapers we read on Wednesday, A Bola is the one who most encourages Éder Militão’s possible transfer to Manchester United.

They don’t seem to know anything about José Mourinho’s interest, but following the reports from the Daily Record, the outlet shows many reasons why it’s not a surprise that a big club would go after the Brazilian defender.

A Bola claims that Manchester United have had a scout at every single match that Porto played in the Champions League, so Mourinho is well informed about Militão’s performances.

And as the player signed for Porto this summer, A Bola makes many compliments about his ‘quick adaptation’ to European football, saying it looks like ‘he’s been playing in Europe for many years’.

The outlet says that Militão has the ‘ambition’ to play for an European giant in a ‘more prominent league’.

They recall that the player has a €50m release clause, and 10% of it would go to São Paulo due to the agreement from last summer.

Now considering that Porto won’t get all the money, it’s even more unlikely Manchester United could get a big discount to sign the player in January.
