Manchester United’s love for young French based talent is nothing new.
A certain Paul Pogba was plucked from Le Havre back in the day, and many have followed since, such as the likes of Hannibal Mejbri, Aliou Traoré and Noam Emeran all currently in their ranks.
This trend could be set to continue, according to L’Equipe, as the French newspaper reported on Sunday that Manchester United are taking an interest in FC Sochaux’s young defender Willy Kambwala Ndengushi.
Still only 15, the France U16 international is currently on a youth contract, and it’s explained the Red Devils have ‘recently manifested themselves’.
They face competition from Liverpool, who are also ‘on the case’, and we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
There are no details of what it would take to acquire the young centre-back, who would likely go straight into the U18s should a deal be struck between Sochaux and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in the near future.
