According to SPORT1, Tottenham Hotspur star Heung-Min Son has emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.
The Gunners are Tottenham’s arch-rivals, meaning Spurs are unlikely to allow their player to join Arsenal. So far, the interest from the Merseyside club in the former Bayer Leverkusen man is ‘not yet specific’.
Jose Mourinho’s United are believed to be believed to be the ‘most promising’ club to sign Son, as per Germany’s SPORT1. The player also wants to take the ‘next step’ in his career and is open to the idea of moving away from the north London club.
Son’s contract at Tottenham runs down in 2020. Only time will tell if Manchester United are seriously interest in the Tottenham attacker or if this is just another rumour where a player is trying to use the Red Devils to bag a better contract.
With the Tottenham player having German agents, and also having spoke to the country’s media several times this week, it’s a remarkable coincidence these claims have surfaced where and when they have.
Son scored for South Korea in their 2-1 defeat to Mexico and his strike was his country’s only goal in the 2018 World Cup. He remains hopeful of inspiring South Korea against Germany, in order to become his country’s hero.
South Korea will face Germany in the last group stage fixture today.
Son signed for Tottenham in 2015 and hasn’t had a new contract since, he probably deserves one so can be forgiven if that’s what this is all about.
