With Edinson Cavani’s future up in the air ever since it was announced that Cristiano Ronaldo would be returning to Manchester United, there is a belief the club could be looking for a new striker sooner rather than later.

Anthony Martial has also failed to convince in the role, meaning the club would find themselves short on natural number nines if both were to leave for pastures anew.

Thus, the rumours are circling, and the latest to be added to a long list is Youssef En-Nesyri, currently at Sevilla.

The Morocco international has been linked with a move to the Premier League for quite some time now, with West Ham and Arsenal suggested as potential landing spots, and the former of those two making a bid in the past.

Super Deporte have an article on the matter on Monday, claiming Manchester United have En-Nesyri ‘on their agenda’.

The important matter here is that ‘the doors will be opened if a good offer arrives for him’, and the Red Devils are ‘looking for a forward with good goalscoring numbers’, with the Sevilla star ‘fitting the profile they are wanting’.

In fact, the La Liga side have ‘already put a price to negotiate for the forward’, with it claimed to be standing at ‘around €42m’.

That’s certainly affordable for a club of Manchester United’s stature, although it is worth pointing out that the 24-year-old is currently injured and his return date has yet to be announced.

He has missed the last three league games, including the 2-1 loss to Real Madrid at the weekend.
