Manchester United are in pole position to sign Livingston youngster Matthew Knox, according to claims in the Scottish media. The 16-year-old has also caught the attention of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Rangers.
The Daily Record have today reported Knox will have a second trial with Manchester United after he impressed the Carrington coaching staff earlier in the year. The young midfielder will travel down to Manchester this week to have his second trial, and will be confident he can earn himself a contract with the Premier League club.
SPL side Rangers have also been showing an interest in Knox after he was invited to train with the club. The youngster has also been put through his paces with Liverpool, Tottenham, Everton and Nottingham Forest, with claims he would prefer a move south of the border.
Knox only made his debut for Livingston in December, and became the youngster player to play for the Scottish club. Livingston received an offer for Knox in the last window from an EFL club, but this bid was rejected.
