Marcos Rojo no longer has a future at Manchester United and the Red Devils are looking to sell him this summer.
In January of this year, the defender returned his former club Estudiantes on loan, and the Argentine side have expressed their desire to make his transfer permanent.
Paul Tavares, a consultant with French newspaper L’Equipe, tweeted Marseille are in negotiations with the Red Devils for Rojo and Diogo Dalot’s loan deal.
Foot Mercato decided to take a look at these claims and they state the 30-year-old was ‘recently offered’ to the Ligue 1 side, as he can operate both as a centre-back and a left-back.
André Villas-Boas wants his side to bring in a new central defender, and their priority is to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Leonardo Balerdi.
With regards to the United owned player, the website explains Rojo ‘does not please’ the former Tottenham manager, which is why Marseille will not consider making an approach for him this summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have made the South American available in the transfer market, and with Estudiantes making Rojo their priority target, a deal is there to be agreed, if conditions are met.
