Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe is now very close on completing his move to Napoli, according to reports from Italy.
In a new update brought by Calcio Napoli 24 and some of their journalists (see below), it’s said 24-year-old is ‘already in town’, having landed in the Italian city today.
Tuanzebe is now set to watch Napoli’s match against Juventus tonight on TV, as he’s only ‘awaiting medical and signing’ so the move can be considered official.
Once the bureaucratic details are sorted, the player should join the squad and start preparations for the match against Sampdoria at the weekend.
Tuanzebe is said to be at the Hotel Paradiso, in Napoli, accompanied by his brother.
The defender had this season a loan spell at Aston Villa, with 11 appearances made, and was mostly staying on the bench at the Premier League side.
So it’s no surprise that Manchester United accepted an offer to let him prove himself somewhere else.
