Roma’s interest in Manchester United full-back Alex Telles is a rumour which is now being taken seriously in the Italian media, who comes with new updates today.
This time it’s Sky Sport (via Forza Roma) who claims that the Red Devils are not accepting to loan the player this summer.
It’s said there’s ‘no room’ for the negotiation of a temporary deal, as Roma are looking for a replacement for Leonardo Spinazzola, who’s seriously injured, but won’t do anything crazy to sign another player.
It’s been only one year since Manchester United signed Alex Telles on a €15m deal from Porto, and even though he was expected to play regularly under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Brazilian lost the competition to Luke Shaw, who ended being awarded the club’s Player of The Year prize.
With only 24 appearances in his first season, Telles was soon linked to an exit from the Red Devils, with recent claims saying his agents were offering him to Italian clubs.
However, it seems that if Manchester United do end up letting him go, it won’t be on loan.
