With a contract running out in 2018 and a constant refusal to sign a new one at Lazio, this season appears to be Keita Baldé’s last in Rome.
Il Tempo once again look at the situation surrounding the Senegal international, and refuse to let go of the idea that Manchester United want to bring in the 22-year-old to Old Trafford in the summer.
With just one year left on his deal, there is only so much money Lazio will be able to ask from interested clubs, and the fact the player rejected a contract with a €30m release clause as he felt it would stop him from getting a move suggests a considerably lower fee should do the trick.
A month ago, the very same newspaper explained €20m would be enough to convince Lazio, and this could even drop a bit more between now and the summer.
If Baldé pushes for a move, the Serie A side could be forced to sell for cheap, and with teams such as Monaco, Valencia, Juventus and Inter Milan all allegedly rivalling Manchester United for the 22-year-old, he could be spoilt for choice.
