Wednesday’s was a bit of a weird day, with neither Gazzetta dello Sport nor Corriere dello Sport mentioning Inter’s transfer plans, which meant no mention of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The Armenian’s future has become a regular story in the Italian press, and the former of the two decided one day without news was enough by publishing an update in their Thursday edition.
According to Gazzetta, Inter are focusing heavily on getting a deal done for either Javier Pastore or the Manchester United attacking midfielder, with both Paris Saint-Germain and the Red Devils sending them ‘good signals’ regarding a ‘dry’ loan.
This is a stark contrast to what Corriere said a few days ago, making it very clear that José Mourinho wasn’t interested in seeing the 28-year-old leave temporarily, and a change from what was being said on Tuesday by Gazzetta, claiming the Serie A side wanted a loan with a view to buy.
As for Joao Mario in all of this, he isn’t even mentioned on the Manchester United side of things, suggesting he’s now long gone from the Red Devils’ transfer plans.
That’s, of course, if he ever was on them in the first place.
