With the signing of Ajax centre-back Lisandro Martinez nearly closed, Manchester United are reportedly looking for another player to strengthen their defence.
The story is from Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, and say the Red Devils are interested Augsburg’s Felix Uduokhai.
The outlet claims the 24-year-old is a name ‘evaluated’ by Manchester United, who want to ‘further armour Erik ten Hag’s rearguard’.
There’s many other details on this rumour. TuttoMercatoWeb doesn’t say how advanced the talks for the transfer are, also not mentioning how much Augsburg would demand, or what the Red Devils would consider spending on the move.
In the past few months, Uduokhai has been linked to other Premier League sides such as Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, but this seems to be the first time Manchester United are said to be interested in him.
Even though the Old Trafford side are preparing for the arrival of Martinez and may look like having too many centre-backs right now, some departures could still happen, as Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof were recently said to be wanted by Italian clubs.
