There are now only a few days left until Endrick, Brazil’s most promising youngster, turns 16 and enters a new stage of his career, as he will be able to sign his first contract with Palmeiras, start being used by the club and begin to receive offers from European sides.
It turns out that Chelsea and Manchester United are both mentioned in an update brought by journalist Jorge Nicola on this subject.
On YouTube, the reporter explains that Palmeiras president Leila Pereira now took a decision on Endrick’s future, and she’s willing to accept the bids that get close to €40m, which is what his release clause will be in the first year of his contract.
Even though the club haven’t been selling their stars, they reportedly believe it’d be a good deal to let him go for that much, since he’s ‘super valued’ at this moment and hasn’t even made his debut yet.
Plus they’d still have him for two more years, as he can only move once he turns 18.
Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid are some of the sides who are said to be the ‘most interested’ in him.
Nicola points out there are still no offers because he isn’t 16 yet, and that would’ve been illegal from the European sides, but since he’s turning 16 this week, things might change.
Chelsea and Manchester United have both been linked before, but with Spanish clubs being more used to spending that much to sign Brazilian youngsters, it would actually be surprising to see Blues or Red Devils making that kind of signing.
