Manchester United and Chelsea are in the mix for Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries, according to multiple claims from Italy.
The right-back arrived at the San Siro from PSV Eindhoven in 2021 and finished his first season in Milan with five goals and seven assists from 45 matches in all competitions.
Inter invested €12.5m to secure his services and he is now worth ‘at least double’, as per Sport Mediaset.
Manchester United and Chelsea are mentioned as the duo, along with Bayern Munich, have ‘tested the ground’ with the Serie A side to sign the 26-year-old in the summer window. Inter have no plans to part ways with him for less than €30m.
Meanwhile, Calciomercato state the Red Devils and Chelsea have been keen for a while, but it has not been converted into anything concrete. Therefore, Dumfries’s chances of staying at Inter are increasing, when compared to a few weeks ago.
Simone Inzaghi’s side are close to completing the deal for Cagliari’s Raoul Bellanova. The report adds Bellanova is not expected to replace the Dutchman, and will instead compete with Dumfries at the San Siro next season.
