There has been an update in France about the Hannibal Mejbri situation, as Manchester United continue to wait for the outcome of the player’s family’s attempts to rescind his contract with Monaco.
When we last left this story, the situation surrounding the youngster’s deal with the principality club was being examined by the league’s legal committee.
However, nothing appears to have come of it just yet as RMC Sport’s Mohamed Bouhafsi explains another meeting is to take place at the French league’s headquarters to hear out all parties on Monday, as the player has made it clear he wants to break his contract with the Ligue 1 side.
The journalist reiterates that Manchester United have made Mejbri a ‘very big offer’ and ‘absolutely want to recruit’ him.
For now, all the Red Devils can do is wait and see what the result of Monday’s session with the LFP is.
The youngster hadn’t turned up to training for the last month or so.
Rest assured we’ll be keeping an eye out for any update in the next few hours, days, weeks…
