The Portuguese press continues to link the Brazilian wonderkid Antony to a Manchester City move.

It’s been a while since local reports claimed that due to a partnership with Sporting, the Premier League side could buy the player and loan him to the Lions.

Newspaper O Jogo brings a new story about it today, claiming that this is indeed ‘a possibility’ which is ‘on the table’.

This time it’s claimed that the English side ‘could participate’ in the player’s move to Lisbon, keeping a priority clause.

As you can see in the image attached, the story is pretty short, so there aren’t many details about it. Still, O Jogo claims it to be their own information, so they deserve some credit for that.

Meanwhile, Correio da Manhã bring a similar article. They make it clearer that Manchester City would pay for the transfer and loan him to the Lions.

However, São Paulo have been claiming Antony is only leaving the club for his €50m release clause, and it’s questionable if Manchester City would spend all that money to loan him out immediately.
