Since the start of the last season, Allan has featured in every league game for Napoli, making 43 starts and 10 appearances from the bench.

Carlo Ancelotti replaced Maurizio Sarri as the new manager at the Stadio San Paolo and the midfielder has continued to impress with his displays for the Serie A outfit.

According to Calcio Napoli 24, Manchester City have ‘set their sights’ on signing the 27-year-old as his qualities have impressed the Premier League club’s manager, Pep Guardiola.

It’s claimed that it is normal for the top European clubs to continue to chase the Brazilian following his ‘monstrous’ performance for his club that saw him debut for the national team in November.

The report mentions the Etihad outfit are not the only side interested in Allan as Bayern Munich and AS Monaco are also chasing the Italian side’s star player.

Napoli handed Allan a new five-year earlier in March and they view him as a player who is non transferable, meaning it would be difficult for City and other potential suitors to tempt him away from Gli Azzurri.
