Manchester City last night sent representatives to the Europa League tie between Anderlecht and Gabala, according to claims in Belgium. The Jupiler League has been producing an array of talent in recent seasons, which has resulted in major clubs across Europe sending scouts to the country.

Purplespirit have revealed Manchester City were on the scouting list for last night’s game, which Anderlecht won 3-1. Not for the first time in recent seasons an Anderlecht game was attended by scouts from several big clubs which included Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and Newcastle United.

It’s been claimed by Purplespirit the clubs who attended the game were likely watching Anderlecht youngsters Youri Tielemans and Leander Dendoncker. However, only Tielemans was involved in the game, with Dendoncker named on the bench.

Tielemans has already been linked with a move to England in the 18 months with other scouts from Premier League clubs attending Anderlecht games. However, Tielemans picked up an injury in his side’s victory, which is likely to side-line him for several weeks.
