Back in March 2017, the whole of Ligue 1 let out a communal groan when Wylan Cyprien badly injured himself, rupturing the cruciate ligament in his knee.
The now 23-year-old missed nine months of football, setting back his development, which was going so well before hand.
Now getting back into the swing of things, the midfielder is once again attracting some interest from the big clubs, notably Manchester City.
According to Le10 Sport, the Premier League champions sent a scout to watch Cyprien in a 1-0 win against Lyon on August 31st.
Should he show signs of coming close to his previous form, then Manchester City could look at a potential transfer more closely.
There’s a lot of “shoulds” and “coulds” in this story, so it’s all pure speculation for the time being, it’s worth putting in the ‘keep an eye on’ section for now.
