Alex Garcia is set to return to Girona, report Mundo Deportivo.
The Manchester City owned player was at the Spanish side last season and it wasn’t the best loan City have sent one of their players on.
Only starting 7 La Liga games, if there hadn’t been changes at Girona then it’s unlikely Garcia would have returned.
Mundo Deportivo report Garcia will today have medical tests at Girona, something which all the club’s players have to go through at this stage of preseason, and it’s claimed his transfer from Manchester United will be made official in the ‘coming days’.
Although the 21 year old didn’t enjoy prominence last season under Pablo Machin, that he’s now gone has changed the situation at Girona.
The Catalan newspaper believe Garcia’s playing style fits new man Eusebio Sacristán much better, and that’s why they’ve worked on a fresh deal with Manchester City.
Girona will travel to England soon for part of their preseason preparations, and their first friendly of the summer will be against Bolton Wanderers.
