After a failed summer move to Sunderland, Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie has emerged as a transfer target for some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
According to a latest update from Calciomercato, Manchester City and Manchester United have already contacted Kessie’s agent, George Atangana, over a possible transfer in the near future.
However, Serie A giants Juventus are the most interested ones, and are already making their move to avoid any competition for the Ivorian midfielder. Calciomercato say Juventus have had a secret meeting with Kessie’s agent, and are now set to meet Atalanta to find a financial agreement.
It’s been reported Juventus could eclipse Manchester City and Manchester United to sign Kessie as early as in January, but they should be wary of Napoli, who are also said to be keen on the 19-year-old.
Perhaps the Manchester clubs have been dragged into this one for dramatic impact, it makes a better story to say Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola were beaten to the player by whichever Italian side ends up signing him.
