Julian Weigl already gets his fair share of transfer rumours and changing to a new agent last week is only going to encourage that further.
The Borussia Dortmund midfielder moved to SportsTotal, the same group of agents who took Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich, so this time the German champions may not be being lined up as the destination.
This week’s edition of SportBild has a transfer special ahead of the summer, and Weigl is a part of that. Three clubs are said to be keen on signing the player: PSG, Barcelona, and Manchester City.
It appears those new agents have already been at work.
Manchester City are said to have made initial contact over a transfer last summer, trying to find out the possibilities of a deal.
There’s nothing further on that from SportBild, but Manchester City are one of the clubs to be repeatedly linked with the 22 year old.
As far as a potential price goes, SportBild say Weigl is valued at around €30m (By Transfermarkt and others) but they believe Dortmund could say no to double that.
Weigl moving is clearly seen as possible, and interested clubs will now look towards the summer.
