Manchester City are in the mix to sign Fiorentina star Dušan Vlahović after looking at him in the summer, following their failure to take Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.
The striker’s current deal with the Serie A side expires in 2023 and he’s decided against renewing his contract.
This has alerted several clubs and Sky Deutschland now state Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have emerged as contenders.
The Bundesliga winners have been in touch with the 21-year-old’s entourage since last year, while BVB will look at him if Erling Haaland moves elsewhere next summer.
Apart from the duo, Sky explain other clubs like Manchester City, Juventus and Atlético Madrid ‘have an eye’ on the Serbia international.
Fiorentina and Vlahović going separate ways between January and June will suit both parties. The latter’s ‘opinion will be decisive’, likely when deciding his next destination.
Those close to the player state Juventus are said to in ‘pole position’ to sign him next summer. Despite this, Tuttosport suggest it ‘will be necessary to see’ whether Vlahović will be able to ‘resist rich offers’ from England, should he receive one in the winter market.
Both Fiorentina and Vlahović believe it’s best to part ways in the coming window.
City are ‘active’ in the chase for Vlahović, while Juve remain in pole, but only for next summer.
Pep Guardiola’s side could get ahead of the Turin club, if they make an approach for Vlahović in January.
