Following a small January saga, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele agreed a loan move to Lyon, where he’s staying at least until the end of the season.

The 25-year-old had been linked to a few clubs during the winter market, and ended up moving to his old club, to whom he already belonged between 2017 and 2019, before joining Spurs.

Now as Lyon manager Peter Bosz spoke to the local media today, he was asked about the big signings the club made in January, as besides Dembele, they also managed to land Romain Faivre from Brest. The coach claimed to be happy with the spell from the Tottenham player so far.

“What I can say is that since the two are in the group, they adapted very quickly to our game,” said Bosz (via Foot Mercato).

“For Tanguy, it was easier because he already knew Lyon. But Romain also got used to our way of playing. They bring something more than we had before. I’m very happy”

It’s been reported that Ndombele’s loan includes a buying option for Lyon worth €65m.

Even though that sounds like a lot for the French side, their president Jean-Michel Aulas recently claimed that ‘everything will be possible’ in case they win the Europa League.
