For the past few days, reports coming out of Italy have talked about Liverpool’s interest in Inter Milan’s Nicolò Barella.
This continues to be a topic of discussion in the Italian media, with InterLive.it providing additional details on this case.
Liverpool are not alone as Real Madrid are also chasing the midfielder. Regarding the Reds, it’s said Jürgen Klopp has long been his admirer.
Klopp would force Liverpool’s leaders to carry out the deal for the 26-year-old.
The Premier League side have monitored the Italy international for some time and ‘won’t let go’ of him, and while he’s valued between €90m and €100m, this doesn’t scare Klopp’s side.
Liverpool could include Fabinho as part of the deal to convince Inter, but it’s made clear this formula will be rejected by the Nerazzurri as they don’t intend to let go of Barella through a player plus cash deal.
Simone Inzaghi’s side would only consider his sale if they were to receive cash of around €100m.
With Klopp keen to sign Barella, it will be interesting to see the fee Liverpool would be willing to invest big on this operation, especially if they do also go after Jude Bellingham.
