At one stage, someone is going to have to flat out ask AS Roma how much they want for Alisson, because the Italian media can’t seem to agree on a price.

The Brazilian goalkeeper has been an alleged target for the likes of Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain for some time, and while the Serie A side aren’t exactly thrilled at the idea of selling him, they know that a great offer would solve their FFP problems in the blink of an eye.

That’s why, when Corriere dello Sport reported earlier this month that Roma wouldn’t listen to offers below €40m, it made sense.

However, fast forward to today, Friday March 9th, and Gazzetta dello Sport believe that price has increased, as Monchi would want ‘at least €50m’ for his goalkeeper.

What’s happened since then? Despite conceding two goals against Napoli last weekend in a 4-2 win for his side, he also made 12 saves in that game to ensure his team walked away with an impressive three points.

We’re not sure that’s enough to earn a €10m hike in his value, but, at this point, we’re pretty sure the Italian press are just half-guessing what Roma would expect Liverpool or Paris Saint-Germain to pay.

With Simon Mignolet seemingly pushed to one side and most likely expected to leave in the summer, Jürgen Klopp is going to need to bring someone to Anfield to replace him.

Will it be €40m-50m on Alisson or less on a backup for Loris Karius?
