The end of Franck Kessie’s contract with AC Milan makes him a target for many clubs, with the likes of Barcelona, Liverpool and Paris Saint Germain all said to be chasing him.
Now as reports from Spain detail the race for the midfielder, Marca claims the Camp Nou side are now in ‘pole’ position to sign the 25-year-old.
It’s said Barça have been chasing Kessie for a while, and following an approach made for his arrival, it’s known that he’d like to make that move.
Marca, however, points out the competition for his signing, claiming that Liverpool and PSG will be fighting for his free arrival in the summer as well.
Milan obviously want him to stay, and are trying to convince him of signing a new contract, but it’s claimed that Kessie is now ‘dragging his feet’ over a new deal.
With so many options on the horizon, the midfielder is set to evaluate the possibilities, and Liverpool better have convincing arguments to win the competition, meaning that perhaps Jürgen Klopp could work his charismatic magic to get him to Anfield for next season?
