There seems to be a bit of disagreement over the details in the Mohamed Salah to Liverpool transfer.
As things stand, no progress had been made because Liverpool still aren’t offering what the Serie A side want, which is said to be a fee of between €40-50m.
However, late on Sunday, Egyptian outlet Yallakora said that Liverpool had improved their offer for the forward, with an offer of €40m + €5m reaching the Italian side.
Yet, over in Italy, Gazzetta dello Sport seem to think that Roma could be willing to accept less than that, with a €35m + €5m fee said to be enough to convince them to sell the Egypt international.
Jürgen Klopp’s side seem to be playing a few games this transfer window, allowing the news they had moved onto Sporting CP’s Gelson Martins last week to leak, yet they don’t appear to have given up on Salah.
Whether this was to try and put pressure on Roma to accept their bid as the Serie A side are looking for money to help fund their transfer window remains to be seen. But with two outlets reporting an increased bid has been made/is on its way (the details nearly always differ depending on the source), and Gazzetta saying the talks between Liverpool and Roma are ‘destined to end soon’ (in a good way), the Reds could be getting closer.
