Liverpool are ‘interested in’ Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone as they look to continue building for the future.
That’s according to Media Foot, who provide their own information on the Reds’ interest today.
They explain that Kone has been ‘a big hit’ in the Bundesliga since returning to Gladbach from Toulouse last summer following a loan spell back at the French club.
His performances have earned him the attention of Liverpool, who, alongside Newcastle, are ‘among the suitors’.
The website reports that Jurgen Klopp and co. have ‘taken information’ about the 21-year-old central midfielder and could make a move if he continues to shine in Germany, as the Reds are ‘preparing’ for their future.
There is no suggestion they could make a bid ahead of tomorrow’s transfer deadline, although Klopp recently admitted they were looking for a midfielder, so perhaps that stance has changed.
Either way, they have taken information on the player ahead of a possible move in the near future and his name could be one to keep an eye out for if Liverpool do make a late move in the window.
