Liverpool are mostly done with their transfer business this summer, and at most Jurgen Klopp is expected to sign a fullback.
The Reds have splashed big money on Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, whilst Serbian midfielder Marko Grujic has also arrived after a loan spell at Red Star Belgrade, with the transfer agreed earlier.
However, reports in the Italian media suggest Jurgen Klopp is keen on signing another midfielder.
According to Italian website Corriere della Sera, Liverpool have made an offer for Inter’s Gary Medel. The 29-year-old has recently won the Copa America with Chile, and was also named in the team of the tournament.
Yesterday, Italian website FC Inter News revealed Inter had received an offer for Medel from a Premier League side, but the Serie A club rejected the bid because they don’t want to sell him.
Frankly, we’re not completely convinced Liverpool would want to add another midfielder to their squad this summer as they’re not even participating in any European competitions this season.
That doesn’t change the fact that Corriere dell Sera have claimed this, perhaps they know something we don’t.
