Karim Adeyemi’s emergence at Red Bull Salzburg has attracted interest from the Bundesliga and also from across Europe. He has 14 goals and two assists in 20 matches across all competitions this season.
Liverpool have been repeatedly named as a suitor over the past few weeks. On October 25th, Austria’s Laola1 reported the Reds ‘show serious interest’ in the striker.
Since then, the suitors have increased as the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and a few others have been added to the list.
Sport1 now claim Borussia Dortmund ‘definitely want to bring’ the 19-year-old to the club and are ‘currently in pole position’ to acquire his services.
According to Sport1 journalist Patrick Berger, BVB official Sebastian Kehl met with the player’s agent and discussed ‘specific figures’. The Bundesliga side are even willing to pay him a salary in excess of €3m per year.
Berger, however, warns Dortmund there are other clubs in the race to sign the Germany international, including Jürgen Klopp’s side.
The journalist says Liverpool, along with PSG, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid and Inter Milan are ‘still in the running’ to secure Adeyemi’s signature.
He is valued around €35m and Sport1 say a decision on Adeyemi’s future should be made by the end of this month.
