Over the past few weeks, Liverpool have been named as one of the main suitors in the race to sign Red Bull Salzburg star Karim Adeyemi.

The striker has enjoyed a good start to the season, managing 14 goals and two assists in 18 matches across all competitions.

His fine form for the Austrian side has attracted interest from the Reds, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.

After starring for his side in their Champions League win over Wolfsburg last midweek, the 19-year-old admitted he feels honoured to be linked with Liverpool and other top clubs.

Liverpool wanting the player is further backed up by Laola1 as they explain Jürgen Klopp’s side, Bayern, Dortmund and RB Leipzig ‘show serious interest’ in Adeyemi.

Red Bull Salzburg sealed a 4-1 win over SK Sturm Graz on Sunday and Adeyemi scored a brace.

After the tie, the club’s sporting director, Christoph Freund told Sky Sport Austria that his side don’t plan to give away the Germany international in the winter market.

“Karim will finish the season with us, that is clearly the plan. I don’t know what could happen if Karim doesn’t finish the season with us,” Freund said, as quoted by Laola1.
