Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane still thinks of Liverpool star Sadio Mané, claims Le10 Sport.
The La Liga side first contacted the Senegal international last summer, but discussions didn’t lead to any result. Despite that, it’s claimed the contacts have not stopped between the two parties.
Los Blancos have to wait for one more year to sign Paris Saint-Germain Kylian Mbappé and therefore, Zidane has turned his attention towards Mané for the summer.
Le10 states that at 28 years of age, the player has a ‘unique opportunity to take up a new challenge’ at the Santiago Bernabéu and that’s because Real Madrid remain keen on signing him.
According to the report, Liverpool will not oppose Mané’s sale as Jürgen Klopp is of the belief that Timo Werner can be the ex-Southampton man’s successor at Anfield.
Florentino Pérez, however, is not a fan of the possibility of having Mané and he would rather Zidane help Luka Jović improve.
Le10 only focuses on Zidane’s wish to have Mané and although they say the Premier League side will not oppose his sale, there’s no mention if the wideman is willing to leave Liverpool for Real Madrid.
